It's time I up my art game. I've been told I was a talented artist since I was a kid. But I've just been sitting on it. When I'd try to create something that I thought was awesome, I'd be met with humiliation and disappointment, as what I began to see on paper did not match the vision I had in my head. I would see sketches I tried to begin as ridiculous, and would be easily discouraged and quit. So I focused on other things in life. Now, I am older and wiser, and more patient with myself, and it is time to hone this talent. No more will I chastise myself for my failures (ok, I'm lying - - I will continue to chastise but I will not give up!). I will push on, practicing techniques and learning new methods and styles in order to mold myself into the artist I know I can be. I've been a member of Deviant art for 10 years, and have hardly posted any art. Most of my submissions are designs using others' art. Moving forward, I will attempt to document my growth as I develop my skills as an artist. I will be focusing mostly on digital art, practicing aspects that take me towards becoming a fine concept artist, not necessarily to work in the field, but because I love concept art.
